In Situ Alumnus Dr. Heejun Lim Presents his dissertation at SCAPPS 2026 in Ottawa
In Situ’s recent alumnus Dr. Heejun Lim presented three studies from his doctoral dissertation at the 2026 Canadian Society for Psychomotor Learning and Sport Psychology Conference, held October 1–3 in Ottawa, Canada.
The presentations examined how identity, sleep, and social position intersect with physical activity and mental health across Canadian and South Korean populations.

These studies demonstrate the importance of considering health behaviours within the broader contexts of identity, culture, and social inequality. They also highlight the potential role of sleep in supporting adolescent mental health across different national settings.
The annual SCAPPS conference brings together researchers and trainees working in sport and exercise psychology, motor learning, motor control, and human movement. Learn more about the 2026 SCAPPS Conference.
